First Blog

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Alana. I am married to a wonderful man, Rob. And, I am a mommy to a beautiful 16 month old son, Braeden. We live in Northern Virginia. I'm from a small town in Missouri. I moved here 2 years ago. I stay at home, but just accepted a part time position working at a local Salon and Day Spa. I haven't started yet. I'm pretty excited about it, since it will get me out of the house a bit and some interaction with adults-oh yeah, and a little bit of $$, ha ha!

Anyways, I don't know much about this blogging world. I assume I will find out soon enough. I was introduced to it a few months ago from a long lost best friend from 4th grade. She lost her dear husband a year ago, leaving her and their 2 year old, (now 3 year old) behind. She blogs about their life after the loss of her husband with pictures, stories, scriptures, etc. And, I just think it's the neatest thing!!!

A couple of months later, I was once again sent to this site from a great friend from KC who was losing his wife to colon cancer and she blogged. I was and still am just amazed at all the support from friends and strangers they receive(d), all the lives they have touched, including myself. So, makes me think, "hmm, maybe I should blog about my life. And, if something ever happens to me (I pray it doesn't, of course), Braeden and Rob will have something to remember ME by" So, that's what I am doing... cause you just NEVER know!

I don't have a devestating triumph that I am going through. I don't have a life threatening disease that I am fighting. I am not famous. I am just a regular house wife, mommy, sister, daughter, and friend who is living life the best of my ability.

I guess that is enough for now. I am not sure what to do on here next. Post pics I guess? That will give me some stuff to do. I am looking forward to ANYONE who leaves me a comment (gosh, I HOPE someone does-ha ha!)
