Blizzard 2010

We got hit AGAIN with another record breaker storm. 31" at our house this past weekend. The whole area has been closed. Grocery stores have been out of milk, bread, eggs. Stores out of shovels, boots, sleds. White-outs. Roofs have caved in places, electricity out. As of today, it is reported 54" has fallen in 2 storms-one right after another. And, up to 60 mile winds.

Rob spent hours shoveling our trucks out, the sidewalk, the driveway, and stairs. He also did Linda's driveway and sidewalk. The snow is now up to the stop signs. It is so crazy.

Our deck.

Our BBQ grill.

Deck furniture.

We took Marley out in the snow to play and he had a blast! Since the ball got lost in the snow, we threw snow balls and he would chase them. He looked so cute with snow on his nose and ears!

I attempted to take Braeden out to play with the neighbors. It was a not good experience, as I hoped. I didn't have his boots on tight. Come to find out, he had a toy in one of them. Then, he wanted his mittens off. He didn't want to walk around, which I can't blame him with the uncomfortable boots on. He didn't want to get in the tunnel our neighbors made. I was pretty disappointed because I know alot of my friends take their little toddlers out and seems like they like it. Braeden? -Not so much. Oh well. There's always next year! And, we will make sure we have a sled! :)

Mommy's bed to Big Boy bed

We decided it was time to convert the crib that Braeden slept in a handful of times since he was born, to his own bed. He has slept with me since he was born. His heart beating next to mine. His little sounds he made. His yawns. His hiccups. His smell... It was the most precious bond that I am proud of and will hold onto forever.

I know that I heard many, many times, "if you let him sleep with you, you will never get him out and he will be sleeping with you until high school."

Since the first night, he has successfully slept in his bed with NO problems! I, of course, had to sleep with him the first night...just to make sure he was okay. :) I can't believe how easily this transition has been. I am not expecting EVERY transition to be this way. :) I have even tried to have him sleep with me in our bed for a nap or two, but he doesn't want to.

Here are a few pictures of the before and after. The pics are taken with my new Canon Rebel camera I got from Rob for Christmas. I am still playing around with it, but I LOVE IT!

He has to point and touch each letter in his name above his bed every night. And, has to sleep with a few DVD cases, and you HAVE to have the right ones.

I love his bedroom. I decorated it myself, excluding the paint job.

Here are a couple of pics of him in the bathtub and brushing his teeth. He actually likes to do that! What a great child we have been blessed with.
